The Alumni Band (and Drill Team and everybody) Reunion is this coming Friday, Sept 13.
There's one more evening rehearsal, Thursday 9.12 at 7:00pm at the CHS band room.
We will gather around 3:00pm at the band room on Friday, to get ready for the halftime.

A message from band director Langdon Nevens:
Hello alumni,
I have recently learned that this is the Centennial for Carpinteria High School. The Principal has asked if we could work this into our show. I am looking for some kind of “Centennial” march that we could play. I have also decided to do Conquest, since that was such a staple of what we did for many years.
I have asked the Cheer Leaders to do a routine, and they would like to choose Wildcat, which will work fine. We are trying to find something that was popular in 1913, so I would appreciate any help anyone can come up with. If you can think of any song that might be appropriate, please let me know, and I will try to find it.
I am looking forward to seeing everybody. If you are anywhere near Carp, we will be having Thursday night practice in the band room on Sept. 5 & 12 at 7:00.

Reunion 2013
One month to go! The Alumni Band and Drill Team Reunion is September 13, 2013.
Rehearsals will be held at the Carpinteria High band room, September 5 and 12.
Our faithful Director is rifling through his music library to pick the perfect set. Music will be available online as soon as its ready.

2011 Reunion Details
The 2011 Warrior Band and Drill Team Reunion and Halftime Show will be Friday, September 16th at Carpinteria High School Memorial Stadium.
This season marks the 11th year of the annual alumni half-time show and fundraiser. Even if you haven't picked up an instrument in years, we still want you to come and have fun and support the high school’s Warrior Band. If you can drag the thing from the closet or the garage and produce some sort of sound, that's even better. But not required. You'll be surprised how quickly it comes back to you!
There will be three music rehearsals in the CHS Band Room:
· Thursday, Sept 1, 7:00pm to 8:00pm
· Thursday, Sept 8, 7:00pm to 8:00pm
· Thursday, Sept 15, 7:00pm to 8:00pm
We will meet at about 3:30 in the afternoon of Friday Sept 16 to run through the marching part of the halftime show, before the game. That practice will be followed by pizza for all, at the band room. Game time is 7:00pm.

The songs haven't been chosen yet, so keep an eye on the website or Facebook for further info. If you need copies of tunes from previous years, send an e-mail to chs.alumni.band@cox.net. We'll get you linked up. Or use the Download Music link in the right column on the website.
If you no longer have an instrument, let us know. One can probably be rounded up for you.
