"another opening, another show"
Well a great time was had by all who performed in last night's annual Alumni Halftime, as our Warriors beat the Nipomo Titans 27-20. It was a great game, and we had a blast marching and playing with all the fine musicians in this year's band.
Monty Parsons traveled from Marin County to lead us on the field. And the distance record was set by Laurel Bonczkowski (Carbone) who flew out from Wisconsin.
Langdon Nevens wrote a great field drill for us, which included pinwheels, a diamond formation, and a concert formation for the last number.
Thanks to Elise Unruh and the Warrior Band for inviting us and making us welcome back in our beloved band room, and on the field. Hope we can do it again next year!
More pictures to follow. If you took any, please e-mail them to me, and I'll post them for you.
Feel free to leave a comment. If you want to write a post like this one, instead of a comment, just email that to me and I'll post it right up.

Did you get your halftime mailer?
Back in mid-July, our Director Langdon Nevens sent out a letter to all the alumni on our mailing list. It has all the info for the 2007 halftime reunion. He included an info sheet with RSVP form, and a list of those of us who have participated through 2006.
If you didn't receive your copy - or if like many of us you're so swamped with snail mail that it piles like drifting snow in your house, so you haven't opened it - you can download it right here.
The Letter
The Info Sheet
The Participants List
I know there were a few people there last year who aren't on this list. I suspect that if you decided to attend at the last minute and didn't make the rehearsals - which is perfectly cool - you're probably not on it. So please let us know. It matters that your name be included. E-mail me, and I'll pass it along.
The Music Download Site is not quite finished. I'm waiting for a few more scans, and I'll post here when it's ready.
