That Was Fun

Well that was good time, wasn't it? I had fun, and hope you did too. If you couldn't make it, you were missed.

I didn't take the chance to ask very many people what it sounded like, but I guess we pulled it off as usual. It's amazing how it comes back to you, even if your ax has been in a locker in your garage since last year.

I took a few photos.

And here are two very short videos, shot while we were on the field before the game. Watch for the little kid getting his hand smacked by the players as they run by - pretty cute.

2009 Reunion Date Set

The annual reunion and halftime show will be Friday, September 18th at Carpinteria High.

Even if you haven't picked up an instrument in years, we still want you to come and have fun and support the Warrior Band. If you can drag the thing from the closet or the garage and produce some sort of sound, that's even better. But not required. You'll be surprised how it will come back to you. Just like falling off a bike.

There will be two music rehearsals:

Thursday, Sept 10 Thursday, Sept 17th at 7:00 p.m. in the CHS Band Room.

We will meet in the afternoon of Friday Sept 18 to run through the marching part of the halftime show.

The songs haven't been chosen yet, so keep an eye on this site for further info. If you need copies of tunes from previous years, send an me an e-mail at kimberlin@cox.net. I'll get you linked up. Or use the Download Music link in the right column.
